Clinton Residents Directory Clinton Residents Directory

Search the Clinton Residents Directory

Searching for a Clinton resident often starts with a name, address, or family link rather than one master list. Davis County property and recorder systems connect people to parcels and deeds, while Utah’s voter tool adds a separate registration clue. Library shelves, cemetery records, court indexes, and State Archives collections help fill older gaps. Search the Clinton residents directory with one clear purpose, then compare the result with a second source before treating it as a match. Ownership, registration, a court party, and a historical household each answer a different question.

Start a Clinton Resident Search

Begin with the fact already in hand. A street address belongs first in Davis County Property Search, where the owner, parcel ID, legal description, map geometry, and tax information can be compared. A full name can then move to Utah Voter Search, Utah Courts XChange, or a county recorder index. Older questions belong with the Davis County Library, Utah State Archives, FamilySearch, newspapers, cemetery records, and the appropriate vital-record custodian. Each source has a different time stamp and purpose.

A property card names an ownership or tax connection. It does not name every occupant. A voter match describes an ordinary registration record, but protected voters may be withheld. A court result identifies a party in a public case, not a current home. Use two independent clues, write down the date and source, and stop when the question has been answered.

  1. Search the Davis County property roll by owner name, property address, parcel or serial number, and note the legal description.
  2. Use Utah Voter Search with the name, date of birth, street, city, and ZIP when a lawful registration check is needed.
  3. Use REDI-Web or the recorder’s property-search modes for a document entry, deed, mortgage, lien, or prior owner.
  4. For an older household, ask Davis County Library about local history, microfilm, yearbooks, newspapers, and directory holdings.
  5. When a record is not online, make a specific GRAMA, court, vital-record, city, or archive request to the right custodian.

Clinton’s Records Office Map

Clinton’s records trail crosses several custodians. Local requests begin at City Hall, while land records, tax records, elections, and county catalog material are handled in Farmington. Davis County Health Vital Records is in Clearfield. The office matters because the same name can mean an owner, a registrant, a court party, a permit contact, or a historical person. Ask for the record class, not a broad list of people.

The county recorder says its historical land collection begins in 1870 and that computerization and microfilming modernization took place in 1981. The office will help with public access, but staff do not perform title searches, research requests, or legal-description work by phone. The county’s REDI-Web description gives a $25 monthly subscription price, plus download and related costs, while office and mail routes use separate copy and processing rules.

For city records, Clinton’s GRAMA page covers existing records only. It does not require staff to create a new dataset or answer a question by compiling one. A specific request can name an address, parcel, department, record type, or date range. The records contact listed by the city is Lisa Titensor at (801) 614-0720. The County Records Catalog is an ArchivesSpace description tool, not automatic access to every image.

What Clinton Voter Records Show

Utah Voter Search asks for First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Street Address, City, and ZIP. Ordinary public records can include a legal name, residential and mailing address, party or unaffiliated status, age range, active or inactive status, registration date, county, precinct, district assignments, and vote-history dates. The public lookup is person-specific. It is not a street-wide directory.

Private fields include a Social Security number, Utah driver license or ID, full date of birth, signature, email, and phone unless an authorized release applies. Protected or at-risk voters may be withheld or anonymized under Utah Code 20A-2-104. The county registration page lists eligibility rules, including Utah residence for 30 days and residence in the precinct. These limits make the voter tool a useful second check, not a complete residents directory.

Statewide files are a different access channel. The inspected state page describes a one-time $1,050 statewide list, tab-delimited delivery of about 150 MB, a download within one business day, and $35 election reports. The page’s schedule says requests before May 25, 2026 are fulfilled with March 8, 2026 data. Recheck the state page before relying on a dated release, and follow its use terms.

Clinton’s 84015 Address Quirk

ZIP 84015 is larger than Clinton. Davis County’s city-by-ZIP table pairs it with Clinton, Clearfield, Sunset, West Point, and other nearby places. A ZIP is a postal delivery field, not a city boundary. Check the full address with the official USPS ZIP Code Lookup, then use the county parcel map for the municipal and tax context.

Clinton also counts street numbers from Clearfield’s address origin under the Utah Geographic Reference Center’s county quadrant guidance. Do not reject a possible match because a street number does not fit the grid used in Layton or Kaysville. Test the address in the county map, select the suggested result, and compare the parcel ID, legal description, and city label.

Clinton City Records and Permits

Clinton City Hall at 2267 N 1500 W is the local route for municipal records, Community Development, Justice Court, cemetery records, and city staff contacts. A GRAMA request must describe an existing record with reasonable specificity. The city may charge when staff time exceeds 15 minutes, up to the hourly salary of the lowest-paid qualified employee able to do the work. The city does not have to create a new record or build a new dataset to answer a question.

Building permits are especially useful for an address history, but no public citywide permit-result index was located. The city permit form captures application and issued dates, permit number and type, address, parcel, owner and contact fields, valuation, lot or subdivision, construction details, contractors, zoning, approvals, and inspection-related information. Use the Clinton permit portal for account-based submission, or request an existing file from Community Development. A permit dates work; it does not prove that every person connected to the address lived there.

Clinton Court and Vital Records

Clinton Justice Court is at City Hall and lists office hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with court on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. The local page routes users to Utah Courts XChange rather than offering a local name-search grid. XChange can show a public party, case number, court, filing date, case type, case history, and selected documents. Sealed, expunged, juvenile, adoption, and other nonpublic records do not appear.

Vital records need a different path. Davis County Health in Clearfield serves statewide Utah birth and death events from 1905 to the present, subject to eligibility and ID. Birth records are restricted for 100 years and death records for 50 years under Utah Code 26B-8-125 and related rules. Davis County’s posted figures list $25 for a birth copy and $35 for a death copy, while the state FY25 schedule lists $22 and $30. Verify the current fee and custodian before ordering. Historical images in State Archives or FamilySearch do not equal eligibility for a certified copy.

Clinton Directory Terms Decoded

These words mark different record layers. Knowing the difference keeps a search from turning one clue into an unsupported conclusion.

Roll
A list maintained for a public purpose, such as a tax or voter roll.
Index
A finding aid with names and record details; it may link to an image but is not the full instrument.
Parcel
A mapped piece of land with a county identifier, legal description, and tax record.
Criss-cross directory
An address-first directory section that connects a street location to an occupant or household entry.

A deed index can name a grantor and grantee. A parcel card can name an owner. A directory can name a householder. They are related clues, not interchangeable proof.

Clinton Property Watch Alerts

Davis County Property Watch is a free deed, mortgage, and lien alert service. Registration uses the owner name, email, and parcel or tax ID, followed by an email confirmation and activation. The recorder’s March 19, 2026 tutorial describes an education push around the service. An alert is preventive and forward-looking. It is not a historical resident directory and does not show who occupies a parcel.

For a deed trail, use REDI-Web, the public recorder property-search modes, or office and mail access. The recorder says its historical land collection begins in 1870 and that modernization occurred in 1981. The public description does not publish an exact REDI-Web online cutoff. When the online route stops, request a specific document or use the county records catalog and GRAMA route.

Current Clinton Resident Sources

Current Clinton resident research works best as a set of partial directories. A current Clinton residents directory is assembled from parcel, voter, recorder, and role-based records, not copied from one master file. The property roll is parcel-centered, the voter tool is registration-centered, the recorder index is transaction-centered, and municipal or business directories are role-centered. A source can be official and still answer only one part of the question.

Recorder indexGrantors, grantees, deeds, liens, and mortgagesDavis RecorderREDI-Web, office, mail

Use the assessor for “who is tied to this parcel,” the voter tool for an ordinary registration match, the recorder for a dated transfer, and the city directory for office routing. For a single name, the Clinton resident lookup sequence adds courts, vital records, licenses, and historical sources without treating one hit as conclusive.

Other rolls answer narrower questions. The Davis County Sheriff roster is a changing current-custody list, while Utah DOC and the official SONAR registry serve separate public-safety purposes. Utah Commerce business entities and DOPL licenses show professional or business affiliations. The Treasurer’s unclaimed-property search can help an heir find a possible account, but a name hit still needs claim proof and does not establish Clinton residence.

Clinton’s Record-Keeping Story

Davis County was organized in 1850, Farmington became the county seat in 1853, and the Recorder says its historical land collection begins in 1870. Clinton’s own story runs through settlement in the 1870s, the first school near the cemetery in 1885, shared Summit Ward history in 1896, separation from Sunset in 1916, and incorporation in 1936. Those labels matter when a modern city search fails.

Historic records may use The Range, Sand Ridge, The Basin, or The Summit instead of Clinton. Census schedules also follow the geography of their year, not today’s city line. Pair a name with the enumeration place, ward, post office, parcel, cemetery, or newspaper date. The State Historical Society’s Clinton history account supplies the local chronology.

The city history and the county history are context, not proof about a particular person. They explain why a search may need more than one place name and why an older household can sit under a rural, ward, or nearby postal label.

Older Clinton Resident Directories

The historical shelf is split among Davis County Library, Utah State Archives, FamilySearch, newspapers, cemetery records, and local history pages. The Syracuse branch at 1875 S 2000 W explicitly serves Clinton, while Farmington headquarters at 133 S Main Street supplies the microfilm reader and county local-interest collection. Farmington’s history contact is (801) 451-3030; Syracuse’s branch contact is (801) 451-1850. Hours and holdings should be confirmed with the library before a visit.

The named FamilySearch collection, Utah, Davis County Records, 1869–1953, contains 40,381 browsable images, including land, naturalization, birth, death, and cemetery material. Its catalog also lists Davis County midwife records from 1895–1909 and burial or tombstone holdings. No official page inspected supplied a complete Clinton city-directory publisher run, reverse-directory year list, or yearbook inventory. That gap belongs in the search plan. Ask the library for its current Clinton shelf list, then record the collection title, year, page, and image reference.

For a family-history question, a directory entry can suggest an address, spouse, occupation, or household change. Pair it with a census year, deed, obituary, cemetery entry, or State Archives series. The detailed historical workflow sits on the Clinton city directory page.

FamilySearch’s Davis County collection shows the scale of the digitized shelf.
